Redness and rosacea Treatments PerthPersistent redness isn't just sensitive skin. It's your skin asking for the right support.
If your skin flushes easily, stays red, or has developed visible broken capillaries, the cause matters. Redness and rosacea are manageable with the right approach. Most products marketed for sensitive skin make it worse.

Understanding redness and rosacea
Redness can be a standalone concern or a symptom of rosacea, a chronic inflammatory skin condition that affects the face. Rosacea is commonly underdiagnosed, particularly in the early stages where it often presents simply as flushing or persistent redness across the cheeks and nose.
Not all redness is rosacea. Reactive, sensitised skin often the result of a compromised barrier from over-treatment or incorrect products can present similarly. Distinguishing between the two is something we do in consultation.
What triggers redness and flare-ups?
Rosacea and reactive redness have well-established triggers. Managing these alongside treatment is essential:
01 | Heat, including hot drinks, hot showers, saunas, sun exposure and exercise
02 | Spicy food and alcohol, particularly red wine
03 | Harsh skincare, exfoliants, retinoids at high concentrations and astringents
04 | Fragrance in skincare and cosmetic products
05 | UV exposure without SPF
06 | Gut microbiome imbalance, which research increasingly links to rosacea
Reactive skin needs a careful hand. We don't rush it.
These are the treatments we work with.
The right combination, in the right order, at the right pace. That's what we figure out together.
-
Start with understanding what’s actually going on. For redness with suspected internal or lifestyle drivers, Amy's health coaching background makes this the most appropriate starting point for complex or persistent cases.
-
A deeply calming and restorative facial designed to reduce visible redness, strengthen the skin barrier and bring reactive skin back into balance.
-
Medical-grade LED to calm inflammation, reduce redness and support skin healing. Suitable even for the most sensitised skin.
-
Advanced regenerative treatment for redness and compromised barrier. The regenerative properties of Premie Exosomes make this suitable for skin that hasn't responded well to traditional treatments.
-
Gentle resurfacing with barrier-supporting formulations, only appropriate once the skin is stable and ready for active ingredients.

How We WorkThe Skin Room approach.
Five commitments that don't change regardless of what you come in for. This is how every client at Skin Room Perth is treated, every time.
01
We take the time to understand your skin before we recommend anything, because the right treatment starts with the right diagnosis
02
We look at what's driving your skin, not just what's visible on the surface, because treating the symptom without understanding the cause never delivers lasting results
03
You leave with a written plan, not a product recommendation, because your skin journey needs a roadmap not a receipt
04
Every treatment is followed up within 3 to 4 days because your skin doesn't stop changing when you leave the room
05
Free 15-minute check-ins are always available because we want to know it's working and you should never feel like you're navigating it alone
